20220519 0907ZT SITREP on 1985: Deadly Northern Lights:
1. Warsaw Pact activity in AFNORTH and AFCENT AOR increased sharply in the last 48 hours.
2. Soviet Northern fleet reportedly left Murmansk 24 hours ago, heading for Norway and North Atlantic.
3. HUMINT reports WP amphibious TFs ready to sail from Baltiyskiy / Gdańsk naval bases.
4. At 20220519 0902ZT, CJCS declared DEFCON 2 status.
5. Units assigned to OPERATION ANGRY ARROWHEAD are fully manned. The volunteering / reservation process has been therefore deactivated.
6. Personnel not enlisted may be able to join OPERATION ANGRY ARROWHEAD after the public declaration of DEFCON 1.
I’m ready to challenge and wait for your signal…
Oh, this looks so good! 🤘
I cannot wait! Take my money already!!!
When will it be available?
The strategic situation will probably degrade to DEFCON 1 within a couple of weeks.
Sounds good..
Thanks!
Chris
Are you referring to DEFCON 1 for pre-orders being in approx two weeks?
Affirmative Dean!
Operation Angry Arrowhead – reporting for duty!!!
As we edge closer and closer to an armed conflict, I think it’s time for a beer.
Back in the late 70s, my Engineer battalion’s S-2 shop had a bottle of beer in a wooden case with a glass front mounted on the wall, and one of those little German trolley hammers hanging from it. If DEFCON1 was ever declared, they were going to bust it open iand drink it down.
Fun times. 🙂
The simple pleasures of life! DEFCON 1 and a warm beer 😀
I would like to join the 2nd echelon for DNL. Thanks! It will be an honor to serve.
I’m afraid we have reached our maximum number of reserved copies, as announced a few days ago on our Facebook page…..
But do not despair! Reserved copies are kept aside for a limited period, after which any remaining copy can be grabbed by anyone. So, subscribe to the TRLGames site, keep an eye on the DEFCON 1 announcement and act fast 🙂
June is looking better and better!
Wonderful, can’t wait.
If I do not get a copy, I’ll join the Russian army…
Ready and waiting!
Desperate to join the Second Echelon of DNL after my first game this evening. Please let me know when I can send you the money!
Dale, I’m glad you liked our boxed northern apocalypse!
Unfortunately we have reached our maximum number of reserved copies, as announced a few days ago on our Facebook page…..

I’m just double-checking that you still have my reservation. Thanks, Bill.
Bill, affirmative!
Thanks for that. I’m waiting, poised above the keyboard like a hawk ready to stoop on its prey.
Will the updated scenario book be available for first echelon owners too?
Fabrizio,
Is there a possibility of buying just the map for 2nd edition DNL? Maybe under your couch there is one? The first edition map is difficult to determine the proper terrain. The little inset map on this site looks really good, I would love to have that map for DNL, if possible.
If you have one, let me know, I’ll pay what you want.
Joe
Joe,
we have no control on the number of spare components printed, but if there’s something I’ll put it in the available equipment list 🙂
Fabrizio,
Thanks for the quick reply.
Understand and would appreciate if there was something found and listed here.
Joe
Looks like we are getting close to DEFCON 1! The excitement is building!
I’ve tpaed my credit card to the monitor in anticipation. 🙂
this must have been what it felt like during ‘the phoney war’.
uneasy anticipation of credit card bombardment.
Those CAST convoys are sailing around the North Sea so much there’s a groove in the ocean. The VanDoos are seasick but frosty, awaiting Defcon 1.

I didn’t miss the email, right?
We are coming up on two months of it being *imminent* correct?
No mail missed, we unfortunately had an enemy interdiction strike right at US Dallas customs, hence the delay to the operation schedule. Now everything is ok, so once again get ready!
What method of shipping do you use, and what are typical shipping times in North America?
We use a fullfilment company based in Texas, and US copies are shipped from there. The specific courier is selected by them based on the destination and typically includes UPS, USPS, DHL and Fedex. Shipping times are the same you could expect for similar shippings from USA to USA.
Do you have a Canadian distribution point?
Canada orders are handled by US fulfilment agency and shipped from USA.
